Carl Kistel

Jake Kistel will be playing the Final year of his High School Football career in memory of his grandfather and fellow veterans of the “Blackhawks”, 86th Infantry Division, WWII.  Carl Kistel was the pioneer of Viking Football.  Jake Kistel said,  “My grandfather’s efforts along with the sacrifices of his fellow “Blackhawks” and all veterans made it possible for our team to have the opportunity to play football and live free today.  After we graduate, we will be going on to our careers. When they graduated they went off to war and risked their lives for us.  It seems only fitting to play this season in their memories”.
